Great war film starring Richard Burton, Roger Moore, and Richard Harris.
A team of mercenaries are hired by dodgy businessman Stewart Granger to rescue an imprisoned african leader. They are double-crossed and have to fight to escape the country.
No special effects, just a great old-fashioned action movie. They don't make them like this anymore!
It is a good film, but you left out the wildly improbable plot, and Richard Burton playing Richard Burton. Richard Harris was so well known for his excessive drinking. To get insurance for the actor, producer Euan Lloyd made the Irishman deposit half his salary in escrow, with any costs of bad behavior subtracted, and not delivered until after the film was completed. Despite one lapse, Harris remained totally dry for the film's duration.
